Dear all, I hereby introduce you to my latest project: ParametricCamp.

ParametricCamp will be an intensive 5-days workshop focused on Parametric Design and Generative Modeling. We will be touring southern Spain, visiting the following locations:

• Seville, July 18-22
• Granada, July 25-29
• Malaga, August 1-5

Hoopsnake is a new Grasshopper plugin created by Yiannis Chatzikonstantinou, founder of Volatile Prototypes. It allows for recursive iteration (a.k.a. loops) within the Grasshopper environment with a simple and clean component, something that could previouly only be achieved through scripting:

Here are some examples to test this tool. So far, I’ve found it very interesting and am sure will became a must-have very soon.

I am really happy to announce that I will be holding a workshop, starting next Tuesday May 24th in Seville.

The workshop will explore the principles of code-based creative thinking, and will focus on the use of Processing as a programming language.

The workshop has been organised by Manuel Gutiérrez de Rueda and José Pérez de Lama at the IND Center, Architecture Faculty, Universidad de Sevilla.

Registration is open (and free) for anyone interested.

I will be participating in Use the Force cluster, held together by Daniel Piker, Robert Cervellione, Andy Payne and Volker Mueller, so expect a lot of dynamic relaxations, realvision and a lot of cool stuff. Oh, I just can’t wait for it! Stay up to date in our group page.

SmartGeometry 2011 Live Coverage – Day #04 – Photos

I am really happy to announce that I will be holding a workshop, starting next Thursday March 17th in Seville, together with Ángel Linares García.

The workshop will introduce the students to parametric thinking applied to design, focusing on using McNeel’s Grasshopper plug-in for Rhino. We will start from the very basics, increasing complexity with a big variety of examples and exercises, aimed to end up with a personal project to be digitally fabricated by the students. 8 lectures will be conducted, having invited guest Luis Fraguada to join us for the closing session.

The workshop has been organised by Manuel Gutiérrez de Rueda and José Pérez de Lama at the IND Center, Architecture Faculty, Universidad de Sevilla.
